Baby goes to Hawaii

We took a trip to Oahu, Hawaii we fell in love with the island and we will definitely be planning another trip here once Gizelle is a bit older and can do water activities.  Gizelle really enjoyed herself and travelled well. Here are a few highlights of our trip

Gizelle looking out the window before take off.

She was so curious about everything that was going on around her.
During the 5 hour flight Gizelle flirted with the passengers and even spent some time sitting on the passenger next to us, she wanted to hold her and of course we did anything to keep Gizelle entertained and happy
Gizelle was the first one to get Lei'd at the airport. She looks very tired, but she wouldn't nap I guess she was as excited as we were and didn't want to miss a thing.

First day at the beach was not so good she didn't like the sound of the waves and did not want to feel the sand on her feet!!!! Bummer
Here she is being a daddy's girl
Still very hesitant about the waves
So on to the next activity we will try the beach again tomorrow
We decided to visit Waikiki Aquarium and here she is happy to be away from the beach!
She had so much fun in the aquarium and was amazed at everything she saw.
We spent almost 2 hours here and that was because she really enjoyed watching everything the aquarium had to offer

The next day we headed to the zoo we went first thing in the morning to avoid the sun's peak hours and it was still very hot

Keiki means children and I thought it was very neat that the zoo had a section for children where they can feed goats and interact with the animals. Gizelle is too young for all that but she still had fun.

Here she is posing outside of the Gorilla's home

and for some reason she decided to point to the camera every time I was ready to snap a pic of her

I took one before she pointed
There were so many cute baby souvenirs and the hat was just so adorable we had to get it

She was so tired by the end of the day that she fell asleep while I changed her diaper

Second attempt at the beach she just didn't like the water so we went on to the grass :(

Here she learned to stand on her own

and she loved crawling on the grass

she was a happy camper as long as she was not by the waves

We spent most of the day at the beach and once again she was exhausted and fell asleep without being rocked which we usually have to do.

the 3rd day we headed to beach once again this time in the evening only to watch the sunset and she had a blast pulling mommy's hair

She was very intrigued by the surfer's oh no I smell boy trouble
and here is the beautiful sunset

Here we are on the tour bus on our way to the Polynesian Culture Center
Ready for the Luau

Gizelle on our canoe ride

Once again being a daddy's girl

and again pointing at the camera
Bonding and relaxing with mami

Enjoying the boat ride to the Pearl Harbor

and on the ride we noticed Gizelle's bottom right tooth was starting to break through, though she was teething and drooling all day she never became fussy thank goodness. Can you see her little tooth?

Here we are at the Dole Plantation

The tiny pineapple, I thought it was so cute

So many pineapples everywhere there was also a pineapple maze

A few pictures of the beautiful Island

and here we are waiting for our shuttle to take us back to the airport Gizelle entertained herself with the rocks in the hotel's lobby.

and once again she was a great traveler and enjoyed the flight I bought a few toys for her and didn't show them to her until take off to keep her busy and not become bore easily it worked great.
She also watched cartoons on the way back! We really enjoyed ourselves and it was a great way to relax and get away from our daily life. It was a new experience for the three of us, and watching our baby become excited over it was the best part of all.
