Baby goes to Hawaii

We took a trip to Oahu, Hawaii we fell in love with the island and we will definitely be planning another trip here once Gizelle is a bit older and can do water activities.  Gizelle really enjoyed herself and travelled well. Here are a few highlights of our trip

She was so curious about everything that was going on around her.

During the 5 hour flight Gizelle flirted with the passengers and even spent some time sitting on the passenger next to us, she wanted to hold her and of course we did anything to keep Gizelle entertained and happy

Gizelle was the first one to get Lei'd at the airport. She looks very tired, but she wouldn't nap I guess she was as excited as we were and didn't want to miss a thing.

First day at the beach was not so good she didn't like the sound of the waves and did not want to feel the sand on her feet!!!! Bummer

So on to the next activity we will try the beach again tomorrow

We decided to visit Waikiki Aquarium and here she is happy to be away from the beach!

She had so much fun in the aquarium and was amazed at everything she saw.

We spent almost 2 hours here and that was because she really enjoyed watching everything the aquarium had to offer

The next day we headed to the zoo we went first thing in the morning to avoid the sun's peak hours and it was still very hot

Keiki means children and I thought it was very neat that the zoo had a section for children where they can feed goats and interact with the animals. Gizelle is too young for all that but she still had fun.

She was so tired by the end of the day that she fell asleep while I changed her diaper

she was a happy camper as long as she was not by the waves

We spent most of the day at the beach and once again she was exhausted and fell asleep without being rocked which we usually have to do. 

the 3rd day we headed to beach once again this time in the evening only to watch the sunset and she had a blast pulling mommy's hair

and on the ride we noticed Gizelle's bottom right tooth was starting to break through, though she was teething and drooling all day she never became fussy thank goodness. Can you see her little tooth?

and once again she was a great traveler and enjoyed the flight I bought a few toys for her and didn't show them to her until take off to keep her busy and not become bore easily it worked great.

She also watched cartoons on the way back! We really enjoyed ourselves and it was a great way to relax and get away from our daily life. It was a new experience for the three of us, and watching our baby become excited over it was the best part of all.

2.5 days left for our first family trip to Hawaii!! I'm super super excited and a little nervous because I don't know how Gizelle who's almost 9months is going to handle our trip. We will be visiting the island of Oahu, since it seemed to be the island with the most family activities. Regardless of what we do I'm sure we are going to enjoy our vacation and will return with lots of wonderful memories. About memories I know my daughter is not going to remember anything about this trip but that's okay because I will! And I will forever cherish the memories of us 3 in Hawaii. It really annoys me that people keep telling me to leave my baby behind and just enjoy our trip alone, or that I won't have fun with her and that she won't remember anyways! First of all when I made the decision to have a baby I knew what the responsibilities were and I knew that my social life and fun would change, second I have patience with my daughter therefore I do not mind watching over her or taking her with me, third I would not be able to enjoy myself a whole week without seeing my baby, and lastly it's not your business what I choose to do! I'm sorry but I'm just really annoyed with the comments and faces people make when they ask if baby is coming along. Yes we are taking our baby girl with us so Alohaaaaaaa :)

Gizelle's update last of her 6th month and all of the 7th

My gosh I've been so busy these last two months I haven't had a chance to post an update on my Gizelle. So much has happened I decided to go back to work which at first was very hard since I had to leave my baby but it's getting better and I'm so glad she still sees me as #1 in her life, I was worried she would become distant towards me.

As soon as she turned 6 months she started to crawl on all fours. She's growing up so fast I can't believe how much she has accomplished. Today April 27, 2011 she turned 8 mths and already she's crawling at a fast pace, she stands up on her wittle feet and takes small steps already (of course while she holds on to something) but it's still amazing to see her doing things for herself. She looks so cute because she's still very tiny and already taking steps. Here is a video of one of her first crawls .
